1. Participation in the project and festival:

  • Participants of the „Azyl FRIENDSHIP“ project must be students at least in their second year at a Higher Education Institution, specializing in film (scriptwriting, production, direction, cinematography, sound, etc.).
  • Presence at the Festival: Participants are required to attend the entire festival until its conclusion, not just the „Azyl FRIENDSHIP“ project itself.

2. Creation of a film work:

  • Short Film Creation: Participants are tasked with creating a short film work with a maximum length of 1 minute. This film should be created within a set timeframe of 24 hours.
  • Participants will follow the rules and assignments specified on-site by the festival team.
  • The work must not exceed the set length and must adhere to the theme determined at the festival.

3. Adherence to the License Agreement:

  • Participants are obliged to respect the copyright of third parties and license agreements (see annex).
  • By signing the license agreement, I agree to its content.
  • The license agreement will be signed in person at the location and time of the festival (Banská Bystrica).

4. Presentation and documentation of the work:

  • Participants are required to present their work at a designated location.
  • Following the presentation of the work, participants will engage in a discussion.
  • Participants must provide information about the creation process of their work for documentation purposes of the project’s progress.

5. Ethics and Respect:

  • Participants are required to adhere to ethical standards and respect the rights and opinions of other participants.

6. Procedures in Case of Non-fulfillment of Requirements:

  • A selected participant has the right to withdraw from participation without any penalties, provided they deregister a month before the planned start of the project.
  • If a participant cannot attend the project and the month-long deregistration period has passed, the participant must find an adequate replacement who meets the conditions and inform the project coordinator (at the email address: daniela@azyl.sk).
  • If the selected participant fails to find an adequate replacement and subsequently does not participate in the project, they are obliged to cover all costs incurred in connection with their participation in the project. This way, the costs that the organizers incurred in planning and preparing the participant’s attendance are covered.
  • A participant who does not attend the entire duration of the festival is required to inform the festival organizers of their decision at least two weeks before the start of the project. Failure to do so obligates them to cover accommodation costs for the remaining nights they were supposed to be present, in accordance with the agreed accommodation conditions.
