AZYL FRIENDSHIP IS A UNIQUE PROJECT THAT WAS CREATED AS PART OF THE AZYL SHORTS FESTIVAL.
DURING THIS PROJECT, MORE THAN 25 STUDENTS FROM 5 COUNTRIES (SLOVAKIA, CZECH REPUBLIC, POLAND, HUNGARY, AND UKRAINE) WILL FORM SEVERAL NATIONALITY-MIXED TEAMS – “FRIENDSHIPPERS.” THEIR TASK WILL BE TO CREATE A SHORT FILM IN A LIMITED TIME FRAME – 24 HOURS. DURING THIS PERIOD, THEY WILL GO THROUGH THE ENTIRE FILMMAKING PROCESS (FROM THE CONCEPT TO THE FINAL PRODUCT). REGARDLESS OF THEIR FIELD OF STUDY, THEY WILL HAVE THE CHANCE TO TRY ALL FILMMAKING ROLES, AND MOST IMPORTANTLY, THEY WILL GAIN NEW FRIENDSHIPS AND CONTACTS FOR THEIR FUTURE PROFESSIONAL CAREERS.
ONE OF OUR KEY GOALS IS TO SUPPORT COLLABORATION AMONG YOUNG FILMMAKERS DURING THEIR STUDENT YEARS. THE PROJECT IS PRIMARILY INTENDED FOR STUDENTS OF FILM UNIVERSITIES.
THE FINAL FILMS WILL BE SCREENED AT THE END OF THE PROJECT IN FRONT OF THE FESTIVAL AUDIENCE AND AN INTERNATIONAL JURY, WHICH WILL SELECT THE BEST ONE. THE CREATORS OF THE WINNING FILM WILL BE AWARDED.
THE PROGRAM OF THE FESTIVAL ITSELF AND THE FRIENDSHIP PROJECT ARE CLOSELY CONNECTED. IN ADDITION TO SHORT FILM SCREENINGS, A MASTERCLASS IS PREPARED FOR THE FRIENDSHIPPERS, AS WELL AS AN EVENING ACCOMPANYING PROGRAM (FILM QUIZ, CONCERTS, AND NETWORKING).
PROJECT WAS FINANCIALLY SUPPORTED BY ERASMUS +.
